What does being black mean to me?

Being black to me means your ancestors are from Africa and the obvious natural hair, wide nose, and all the other physical attributes you would see in an African American. However, I do believe that thats not the only way you can be black. There are people who are mixed but they still consider themselves black. I dont think black people should be stereotyped as the "ghetto people" or we're always the ones to get locked up. Yes unforunately most of the african americans are getting locked up and are doing bad things but, Not all of us think and do the same things. Some people say the reason why black people are always living in the poorer communities is because of the government system. They keep raising the price of living and that forces african americans to find another place to live, putting african americans in a box calling it "the ghetto". But not every ghetto is filled with african americans. For example the holocaust. Also not all african americans are bad. Actually being bad, you should have to label a race to being. In general, not all people are good. There are some good people and there are some bad people. Hopefully as time goes by people wont judge who's bad and who's not by race but by the people and how they represent themselves.
